the cirque changes feel better; but smithscript weapons need some buffs for real.

With the scaling nerf to the Smithscript weapons when faith or intelligence infused what's the point of it having innate faith and intelligence scaling💀. Honestly thought the amazing damage was a tradeoff due to the horrible range and gimmicky heavy attack I'm just pissy cause I wasted 2 ancient dragon smithing stones

did you test/double check the 2% damage taken increase from rakshasa set? from my testing it doesnt actually increase damage taken, i think the flavour text is just talking about the low damage resitances.

what about dryleaf seal ? :'( didn't they even try to fix it ? light of miquella is doing shat rn bcs there are no boost for it ! btw the circlet is bug too

Since this felt more like a hotfix patch for bugs, i really hope that with the next real patch they address some of the weapons and incantations/sorceries, most of them are really cool designed, but the damage numbers still need a lot of tweaking to make them balanced/viable. I don’t need them all to be viable for pvp, i can’t even speak for that because the only multiplayer stuff i do is co-op, but it feels really underwhelming and not very satisfying, if for a lot of the new stuff, there’s just a better alternative from the base game. Don’t get me wrong, i don’t want them to be better than the base game stuff, just on par. Especially with the spells i don’t get it, for the base game ones they rolled out a huge patch, increasing hyper armor basically across the board, only for them to make the same mistake again in the dlc.

Basically, no other youtuber is worth watching when it comes to understanding patches. While they prioritize subjective "testing" and a simple vocal readover of the notes (which as we all know often tell us next to nothing) to get their video out ASAP, Chrightt gives us intel down to the numbers + nuance. Let's go.

I lose faith in humanity every time the casting sword gets compared to a staff We finally have a good active playstyle in dual thrusting with an offhand casting tool, but all of these sorcerers just can't fathom melee combat so that goes over their head.

I don't know why From is so afraid to add recovery to these new high-mobility ashes. All they need to fix swift slash at this point is just... give it meaningful recovery. Make it more of a finisher, or something you do to cross people up, than just a free pressure spam tool.

The distance buff on the thrown daggers and cirques could be described as being less awful, as opposed to "better"... They're only a slight increment increase in range compared to before. Barely perceptible. The weak damage on the daggers makes it inconsequential anyways.

I hope the negativity doesn’t get to you too hard buddy. I appreciate all the hardcore numbers and testing you do for a lot of us.

I saw some stats for carian sorcery sword that its the best staff until 40 int, haven't tested, but regardless the buff was sorely needed. Wanted to make a build with it to see what combos I can get out of it, and now the damage is decent enough to look Probably gonna try it with smth big in off hand with a dex/int build or smth

Smithscript weapons :c They're so fun and I love them to death but I only found discus hurl to be good because it has a bunch of silly shenanigans going for it, especially since I was accidentally buffing it....

I tried smithscript axes a few days ago with cold infusion. It did between 200 to 1000 damage and was the most inconsistent thing ever. Hopefully they even this out a bit.

The Bloodfiend Arm nerf didn't really feel deserved. It wasn't a good weapon, with criminally low AR on a Bleed infuse. It just had a unique playstyle, and now both of those things are diminished.

hoping discus hurl is nerfed as well, though mainly for pvp purposes. the fact that it staggers players even with over 80 poise and bullgoat's tali is just stupid

Fire Knight Greatsword lost the R1 > R1 combo, but since it has the Godslayer GS' R1s it still has access more true combos than most Colossals; WaZeus has a vid showcasing them. Plus not being locked to The Queen's Black Flame means there's probably some other nasty combos no one has found yet.

Honestly they should've just deleted swift slash from the game while they rework it. Doing less damage changes basically nothing and still leaves it as a completely oppressive and game-breaking ash. The fact that they've approved it past multiple patches is just pathetic at this point. Fromsoft are so woefully incompetent when it comes to PvP.

My only complain about the beastclaw is the lack of armor on your lefthand when using a seal 🤣 When you use full armor, it looks kinda silly when your left hand is naked 🙈

It is confusing how the Staff of Avatar has Golden Slam ash of war And the Great Club has Golden Land ash of war i feel like it should be the opposite. The Great Club looks brutish so it makes sense to have a body slam while The Staff of Avatar looks, well, like a Staff! It fits well with the Golden Land ash of war. I know the Avatars do the slam so much but that's the Avatar doing that. Not the staff. The staff is thrust into the ground, and produce holy projectiles. Just to convince that Golden Slam should be on the Great Club: What is the Great Club made of? A tree. What is the Avatar? A tree. And the Golden Slam happens when the Avatar (a tree) slams.

Been using this and its been super fun....kinda a big learning curve for me though because up until now I've been a shield user lol.
